Every gift we receive helps Flatwater fulfill our mission of bringing quality professional theater to Lincoln and the Great Plains. Not only that, but it also helps support our growing educational outreach programs, as we get our youth involved in the enriching and often life changing experiences of live theatre.

As with many theaters dedicated to doing classically based works, the generosity of our donors helps us to bridge a very crucial gap. Ticket sales alone cover about half the cost of putting on a production. Your tax-deductible donation makes the critical difference between dynamic and vibrant productions and a silent, dusty stage.

With your support, we bring costumers, carpenters, and technicians together to take fabric and thread, wooden planks and nails, lighting canisters and wires, and many, many hours of labor to create a magical new world in the courtyard of the Swan Theatre. With your enthusiasm, Shakespeare's words are lifted from the page and brought to the stage by many of Lincoln 's most talented artists.
